Chapter 47
Early the next morning, Baitang put up the posters in every corner of the shop.
Mary was a resident of No. 7 Wandering Town. She ran a small restaurant and raised her daughter on her own.
Ever since Keke Shop first opened its doors, she had been a loyal customer, always finding the meats, berries, and vegetables she needed to experiment with new dishes.
Before heading off to school, her daughter Ansha had begged for a strawberry cake from the shop's dessert counter.
Since her daughter had been doing well lately, Mary smiled and agreed, then sent Ansha off to school via teleportation.
After settling her affairs, Mary planned to head to Keke Shop to stock up on supplies.
But the moment she stepped outside, the blazing sun overhead made her wince.
Looking up at the three suns in the sky, Mary frowned. "This calamity just keeps getting worse..."
Because of the disaster, people rarely went out these days, and her restaurant's business had suffered accordingly.
"Oh, right—the heat-proof spray!" Mary suddenly remembered. Keke Shop had just launched a new product said to ward off the sun's scorching burn.
She grabbed a bottle of ice-blue spray from a cabinet nearby, closed her eyes, and sprayed herself all over.
A cool, refreshing sensation washed over her body. Mary stepped outside to test it, and the burning heat had noticeably receded. Delighted, she tucked the spray into her bag and headed out.
Relying on the spray's half-hour duration, Mary hurried to Keke Shop. The sun was still vicious, and she had to reapply once along the way.
The moment she stepped inside, the cool, comfortable breeze drove away the lingering heat, leaving Mary feeling utterly refreshed.
Then two enormous posters caught her eye.
"To celebrate Keke Shop's successful partnerships with the witches, the Beastman Kingdom, the Elf Forest, the Human Empire, and the Goblin Kingdom (in no particular order), Keke Shop will host a grand celebration in five days to give back to our valued customers! Enjoy 20% off everything, the debut of 10 new magical tools, and a special performance of the new play *The Little Mermaid* by Lady Alice of the Puppet Theater Troupe!!"
"To ensure the best experience for our guests, Keke Shop will be closed for five days of renovations!! But to keep things convenient, we're launching a new mini-program—download it to browse and order goods, and Keke Shop will deliver right to your doorstep (limited to towns near the Adventure Forest!!)"
Staring at the two eye-catching posters, Mary felt her blood pressure rise and fall in waves. Upon reading the final message, she quickly pulled out her Astrolabe and added the mini-program.
Opening the app, Mary's eyes lit up at the dazzling array of products. It was incredibly convenient.
She immediately linked her shopping card to her profile.
Mary wasn't the only one—many of Keke Shop's regulars had seen the new promotion too.
"Good response, huh." Rao Ke watched the mini-program's backend data climb steadily and nodded in satisfaction.
Then she pulled up the shop's scale model she'd designed and nodded approvingly.
The newly designed shop had the first floor for beverages, fruits, snacks, meat, desserts, and daily necessities; the second floor for clothing, bags, jewelry, and accessories; the third floor for appliances, magical tools, and machinery; the fourth floor for a dining and food court; and the fifth floor reserved for the library and cinema that would unlock later.
At the very top sat an open-air garden housing the various teleportation arrays. Rao Ke had previously drawn a magical device called the Climate Dome, which could regulate the temperature, humidity, and other conditions of the rooftop.
To promote the event and the mini-program, Rao Ke had specifically reached out to the leaders who had established teleportation arrays with her shop, asking them to help spread the word.
Their relationships were already good, and this was a perfect opportunity to strengthen their ties with Keke Shop, so everyone readily agreed.
With the leaders' endorsement, Rao Ke watched the mini-program's download numbers shoot up in a straight line on her backend.
Mo Duoya even gave her a personal call to check in.
"Looks like you're putting on quite the big event this time. It's very inspiring, though—the merchants in the imperial capital are all watching to see how this turns out." Mo Duoya wore a flowing white gown, her soft golden hair draped over her shoulders, looking especially gentle.
Rao Ke smiled and invited her. "Then you should come! I've prepared a play—a script you've definitely never seen before."
Mo Duoya sounded a bit torn. "We'll see. If I have the time, I'll definitely go. But lately, with the calamity and all sorts of other issues, I've got so much on my plate."
She sighed. "When will this calamity finally end?" Only after taking the throne did she realize how hard it was to be a wise and capable ruler.
Rao Ke comforted her. "Didn't Emperor Pebebi once prophesy that if we can endure the calamity, everything will be different in three years?"
"I hope so." Mo Duoya blinked. "Anyway, let's not talk about that. Even if I can't make it, Babaka and Laiensi are both planning to attend."
"Babaka's back already?" Rao Ke was a bit surprised. Usually, Babaka would travel for at least a year or two.
Half a month ago, Babaka had stocked up on a large batch of goods from Keke Shop, said goodbye to Rao Ke and the others, and set off for her next destination.
"Babaka's brother fell ill, so she rushed back to help with the family business." Mo Duoya explained. "She was originally planning to leave once her brother recovered, but then you announced your event, so she decided to stay for it."
"Then she's more than welcome! When she and Laiensi come, tell them to come straight to the shop and find me. They can stay here at the shop." Rao Ke said with a smile.
Mo Duoya laughed and agreed. Ailier, standing nearby, gently reminded her, "Your Majesty, it's time to attend to official matters."
"Alright, see you later!" Mo Duoya waved to Rao Ke and ended the call.
Rao Ke shook her head. "She really does look exhausted."
Sesame Paste, who was playing fetch with Xue Qiu, chimed in, "She's managing an entire country—that's not exactly playtime."
Rao Ke supposed that was true. And despite the fatigue, Mo Duoya seemed to genuinely enjoy it, her face radiant and her eyes bright.
"You'd better focus on your own logistics problem—that's what a shopkeeper should worry about." Sesame Paste reminded her.
Rao Ke picked up her earlier draft proposal. "What do you think about setting up a parcel pickup station in every country we've signed a teleportation array contract with?"
"Sure. Have that demon go negotiate with them—they'll be more than willing." Sesame Paste flicked his tail.
"Alright, I'll talk to Phylosain about it later." Satisfied with that, Rao Ke nodded.
She pulled back the curtains and looked out at the grey mist swirling around the shop.
During the renovation, with nothing else to do, Rao Ke found herself wandering around and bothering her employees.
Her favorite haunt was Xue Jiali's workshop, because Xue Jiali never complained and would always hand her fresh-from-the-oven cakes and freshly mixed drinks.
"KeKe, when's your birthday?" Chrisley asked suddenly during dinner in the dining room.
Everyone fell silent, straining to listen.
"July 12th." Rao Ke looked a bit puzzled. "Why?"
In truth, July 12th was the day the orphanage director had found Rao Ke. Since no one knew her real birthday, that day had been chosen as her own.
Chrisley smiled. "The other witches have been wanting to meet you for a while now, so I thought we could celebrate together on your birthday."
"Sure, that sounds nice." Rao Ke nodded, genuinely pleased.
In the past, she'd always spent her birthdays with a few friends from the orphanage. This would be the first time she'd celebrate with family.
Chrisley beamed. "Don't worry, leave it all to me. I promise we'll make it a birthday you'll never forget!"
Beside them, Xue Jiali was quietly calculating the time. Before next month's birthday, the Heart of the Forest would definitely be finished.
Everyone at the table had their own thoughts. After dinner, they all dispersed to their own rooms.
The next morning, the Puppet Theater Troupe's Alice team arrived at the entrance of Keke Shop, gazing up at the mist-shrouded building.
Hamansi was just pulling out her Astrolabe to contact Kalisa when she saw Kalisa emerge, carrying a vine.
"Long time no see, Kalisa." Hamansi greeted her with a warm smile.
"Long time no see. Come on, I'll take you inside." Kalisa waved the vine in her hand. "Grab hold of this vine and follow me. If you lose your grip and can't get in, I'll have to come back out and fetch you again."
Hamansi readily agreed and turned to relay the instructions to the actors behind her.
They all nodded in acknowledgment.
Kalisa handed the vine to Hamansi, keeping the other end for herself. Once she saw everyone had a firm grip, she led them inside.
The troupe members walked for what felt like a while, then emerged from the grey mist.
"Alright, I'll take you to meet my boss." Kalisa said once the actors had caught their breath.
Rao Ke sat in the large reception room, a plate of golden, crispy, sweet cookies and twelve glasses of orange juice laid out before her.
"It's an honor. I'm Hamansi, deputy director of the Puppet Theater Troupe. We're delighted to receive your invitation." Hamansi greeted Rao Ke with a brilliant, enthusiastic smile.
Rao Ke smiled back. "I've always loved the Puppet Theater Troupe's performances, which is why I specially invited you this time."
That was a lie—she'd never actually watched a play.
"Then we're truly honored. I promise the Puppet Theater Troupe won't let you down!" Hamansi assured her.
Rao Ke naturally played along with a look of complete trust. "Of course I trust you completely."
"By the way, here's the script for *The Little Mermaid*." Rao Ke handed a few pages to Hamansi, then added, "The performance will be on the fifth floor of the shop, but it's still under renovation, so for now, please make do with the rehearsal hall on the second floor of our villa."
"No problem. Could we take a look at the rehearsal hall later?" Hamansi accepted the script with a smile.
"Also, would you like to stay here at the villa, or should I arrange rooms at an inn in No. 7 Wandering Town?" Rao Ke asked. "If you'd like to stay here, I can only offer five rooms."
"That's fine, we'll manage. Staying here is more convenient for rehearsals, and easier for you to check on our progress." Hamansi explained.
"Great. If you need anything, just let Heitang or Baitang know—they'll take care of it. If you need to find me, I'm on the fifth floor, and there's a nameplate on my door." Rao Ke said with a smile.
The two wrapped up their conversation pleasantly, and Heitang led the troupe members to the guest rooms on the third floor.
Rao Ke sipped her orange juice, her gaze unconsciously drifting to the red-haired beauty at the back of the line.
She really did look like a mermaid who'd stepped right out of a fairy tale, Rao Ke thought.
Alice felt someone watching her. Turning around, she saw the mysterious witch and flashed her a smile.
The witch seemed to startle for a moment, then returned a bright grin of her own.
Once they reached the third floor, Hamansi efficiently assigned the rooms—ten people, five rooms, just as planned.
Hamansi herself shared a room with Alice. She sank onto the sofa and flipped through the script, growing more impressed by the minute.
"No wonder you love it so much. It really is a wonderful script, and the red-haired mermaid role feels tailor-made for you." Hamansi's voice was a little excited, and her mind was already racing with ideas.
"I'm going to talk to Kalisa right now. We absolutely have to secure the performance and adaptation rights. This could be the role of a lifetime for you!" Hamansi clenched her fist.
Alice sat quietly beside her, a gentle smile on her face as she studied the script, trying to understand her character's inner world.
While Keke Shop was busily preparing for the event, the regional leaders of the Dwarf Underground City had also gathered for a meeting.
A-Region Leader Anfuer cleared his throat and announced, "The regional leaders' meeting has begun. Is there anything anyone would like to discuss?"
B-Region Leader Lisi, seeing the others remain silent, spoke up first. "My mailbox is practically stuffed with suggestion letters. Looks like you three are doing a fine job."
"Eighty percent of my letters are asking whether we can establish a teleportation array with Keke Shop, and nineteen percent are complaints about how outdated the current arrays are." Lisi said languidly.
The other two leaders nodded, indicating they'd also received plenty of related questions lately.
"This Keke Shop... has anyone looked into it?" Anfuer, the A-Region Leader, disliked going out and kept his doors shut most of the time, so he knew little about this shop that had apparently taken the underground city by storm.
Lisi chuckled. "Anfuer, you really should get out more. You'd miss out on all the interesting shops otherwise."
"From what I've gathered, this shop has already established teleportation arrays with the Beastman Kingdom, the Human Empire, the Elf Forest, and the Goblin Kingdom." Lisi shared what she knew.
"And they're about to hold a joint event. The children are all dying to attend." Lisi smiled, though truthfully, she wanted to go herself.
After all, she'd heard that Lady Alice of the Puppet Theater Troupe would be performing, and Lisi was a big fan of Alice's work.
"Alright, let's take a vote then." Anfuer looked around, seeing no further comments. "Anyone opposed to establishing a teleportation array with Keke Shop, raise your hand."
All four regional leaders remained silent.
"The proposal passes. So, who's going to speak with that shopkeeper?" Anfuer looked at the others.
C-Region Leader and D-Region Leader both bowed their heads in silence. As the only non-socially-awkward one among the four, Lisi reluctantly volunteered. "I'll go. Besides, I've been wanting to meet this witch lady anyway."
"Alright, it's settled then. It's all yours, Lisi." Anfuer sighed in relief. "Any other issues to raise?"
"As for the teleportation array problem, I've already sent the maintenance department to repair the arrays across the underground city." C-Region Leader addressed the second issue. "The rest aren't too important—I'll have someone handle them later."
"If that's all, then this meeting is adjourned!" Anfuer scanned the room once more and, seeing no further business, declared the meeting over.
Lisi slowly rose and left the meeting room.
"Huh, Lisi, the B-Region Leader of the Dwarf Underground City, wants to meet me?" Rao Ke looked at the message Antuoke had sent her.
Then she remembered her race collection task. "I'm free right now. If she doesn't mind, I can receive her immediately."
Down in the Dwarf Underground City, Antuoke relayed Rao Ke's reply to Lisi.
Lisi nodded with a kind smile. "Then I'll be on my way. Thank you for your trouble."
Antuoke wouldn't dream of being presumptuous before this elder. "No trouble at all. It's an honor to assist you."
Lisi rose with a smile. "I won't keep you any longer then. I'll be off. Goodbye, Antuoke."
Antuoke quickly stood to see her out. "Goodbye. Do take care."
...
"Hello, I'm Lisi, B-Region Leader of the Dwarf Underground City. A pleasure to meet you." Lisi greeted the young witch before her with utmost courtesy.
Rao Ke smiled in return. "Hello, a pleasure to meet you too."
Lisi sat down, her face full of smiles. "I've come today, shopkeeper, to discuss one matter."
Rao Ke listened attentively.
"We, the Dwarf Underground City, would also like to establish a teleportation array with Keke Shop." Lisi got straight to the point.
Rao Ke barely managed to suppress the smile threatening to break across her face. "Of course. We'd be delighted to cooperate with the Dwarf Underground City."
"We can follow the same terms as your other treaties, and we'll provide a monthly batch of magical tools and machinery crafted by our underground city's finest artisans." Lisi showed her sincerity.
"That sounds perfect." Rao Ke pulled out a contract she'd prepared in advance. "Please have a look. If there are any issues, we can discuss changes."
Lisi took the contract and examined it carefully. "No problems here. Pleasure doing business with you."
The two signed their names on the contract.
"Might I add you on the Astrolabe as a contact?" Lisi asked politely.
Rao Ke naturally agreed—there was no harm in making another friend. "Of course."
After they'd exchanged contact info, Lisi asked Rao Ke for a copy of the promotional poster to put up on the bulletin board.
The mini-program Keke Shop had launched was only available to countries that had established a connection with the shop.
"Well, it's getting late. I should be heading back now. I won't keep you any longer." Having accomplished her mission, Lisi rose to take her leave.
After seeing Lisi out, Rao Ke quickly opened her collection task page.
[Collection Task: Establish teleportation connections with the major races of the Kaqisha Continent.
Progress (6/7)
Details: Major races include (Beastmen, Humans, Elves, Witches, Dragons, Dwarves, Goblins)]
Only the dragons were left now. Rao Ke felt that once Afra and the others returned to Dragon Island, this task would be completed soon enough.
Because Rao Ke had mentioned holding an event, the curious Afra and her companion had decided to stay and leave only after the event concluded.
[Host: Rao Ke

Quest: Level-up quest: Gain the satisfaction of one million customers.

Adventure quest: Organize a large-scale event with ten thousand participants.]
"Huh. When I'm not busy, there are barely any quests. Now that I'm swamped, all these pop up at once." Rao Ke shook her head and closed her personal panel.
Meanwhile, the very dragons Rao Ke had been thinking about were happily indulging in the shop's wonderful products, having a grand old time.
Jia Xiya, who adored berries and desserts, was especially lost in bliss.
"Ugh, if only the queen had agreed to the contract right away. Then I could experience online shopping too." Afra stared at the dazzling array of products on her Astrolabe, none of which she could actually purchase.
Every time she tapped one, it would just say "Delivery not available in your area."
"After the event, we can invite Miss Rao Ke and Lady Chrisley to come to Dragon Island to discuss important matters." Jia Xiya, currently devouring a Black Forest cake with a face full of contentment, suggested.
"Good idea—I'll go invite them!" Afra was fiery and direct. She sprang up and dashed out of the room to find Rao Ke and Chrisley.
"A trip to Dragon Island?" Rao Ke was genuinely intrigued. "Of course!"
"Then it's settled. Now I'll go find Chrisley." With Rao Ke's approval secured, Afra wasted no time and sped off to her next target.
The days of the shop's renovation passed by one after another.
"Tomorrow's the first day of the event, everyone. Let's show our best selves. Go team!"
On the night before the event, Rao Ke threw a small gathering to help everyone relax a little.
Everyone staying at the Keke Shop villa came to attend.
Rao Ke raised her glass, and the others followed suit, clinking theirs against hers.
"But make sure you all get a good night's rest—tomorrow's going to be a battle out there." Rao Ke said, smiling at the group.
"Yeah!"
The villa was lively for the whole evening, and the customers were buzzing with excitement too.
Everyone was eagerly waiting for Keke Shop's event to begin the next day.
Early the next morning, a long line had already formed outside the shop's doors as customers arrived bright and early, all hoping to be the first inside.
At exactly seven in the morning, Baitang opened the front doors to find a sea of customers outside. The screen on its face flashed a smiling emoji. "Welcome to Keke Shop!"
And with that, the crowd surged inside in a wave.
"Please be careful and don't push!" A dozen or so robots stationed around the entrance were in charge of crowd control.
The customers who rushed in immediately noticed the change—the layout and the floor space were completely different.
Floor guides were placed throughout the shop, and the customers began exploring with great curiosity.
The overhead broadcast also announced the 20% storewide discount every half hour.
Between the discount and the enticing ads, the shop's shelves started needing restocking within just two hours.
Rao Ke watched the quest progress bar skyrocket and hummed a cheerful tune.
"Oh, right. Tell Alice and the others they can head to the theater on the fifth floor to practice." Rao Ke sent Heitang to notify the Puppet Theater Troupe.
"Understood." Heitang acknowledged and made its way to the troupe's quarters.
...
Ever since Hongci became the town leader of No. 7 Wandering Town, Luosi had opened a small private restaurant of his own in town.
Since he only served a few customers a day, Luosi enjoyed personally visiting Keke Shop each day to pick out his fresh ingredients.
Luosi gazed at the dazzling array of vegetables, berries, and meats before him. His very soul seemed to stir as his eyes lit up, and he picked out a huge haul.
Mary was just as thrilled as Luosi, dragging her daughter along on a shopping spree.
Every floor of Keke Shop was packed with customers, all frantically grabbing whatever they wanted.
After all, a storewide 20% discount wasn't something you saw every day, and when stacked with the various shopping card perks, it added up to a hefty saving.
Rao Ke strolled through the store, looking at the endless sea of customers, and felt that this quest might not even take three days—one would probably be enough.
"At two o'clock this afternoon, at the Dream Theater on the fifth floor of Keke Shop, there will be a stunning performance of *The Little Mermaid*—a script provided by Keke Shop—featuring Lady Alice, the star of the Puppet Theater Troupe! There are 1,500 seats available on a first-come, first-served basis. Come early to secure your spot!"
The broadcast repeated the announcement three times.
Laiensi checked the time—it was only 12:30, so there was still plenty of time. But with the Puppet Theater Troupe's reputation, those 1,500 seats might seem like a lot, yet in reality, they'd likely be gone in no time.
"Babaka, let's go grab our seats early!" Laiensi looked at Babaka beside him.
The two had just teleported in from the imperial capital and were both stunned by the shop's stunning new look.
"Let's go!" As a wandering merchant, Babaka had a keen sense for these things.
The two bought a serving of corn potstickers and immediately headed for the fifth floor. They found a long line already formed at the theater entrance, with ticket checking already underway.
The display above the theater read (213/1500).
Laiensi and Babaka quickly joined the line. "Good thing we came early."
While waiting, Laiensi suddenly grew a bit emotional. "You know, when I first saw Keke Shop, it was just a two-story wooden cabin. And now, just like that, it's become a huge store."
Babaka, seeing the tearful Laiensi, couldn't help but feel a little embarrassed. "Hey, don't overdo it. Anyone would think you're talking about a kid you raised."
"Still, the shop has changed so much. Every time I see it, it feels completely different." Babaka liked the shop's evolution.
Because she was someone who craved novelty and excitement.
"Here you go—your tickets. Please read the theater rules carefully before entering!" A ticketing robot at the entrance reminded them.
"Okay, thanks, robot!" A young parent with a daughter was the one being checked in.
The little girl's innocent chatter brought laughter to the customers in line, easing the impatient mood.
After a while, it was finally Laiensi and Babaka's turn. They took their tickets and stepped inside.
The theater was a vast, open space with an enormous stage at the front, its crimson velvet curtain drawn shut.
As time passed, the theater gradually filled with guests, and soon it was two o'clock in the afternoon.
The broadcast announced the theater rules, and then, with a beep, the narrator began recounting the day's story as the crimson velvet curtain slowly parted.
"Long, long ago, deep beneath the sea, there stood a magnificent palace, home to the Sea King and his family..."
The lyrical music, paired with the narrator's gentle voice, was utterly captivating.
When Alice made her entrance, her ethereal beauty, masterful acting, and rich emotional presence instantly seized everyone's attention.
The audience was completely spellbound. They shared in the mermaid's sweet longing for the prince, grieved with her sorrow upon reaching land, and by the time Alice dissolved into sea foam at the end, many in the crowd were wiping tears from their eyes.
*Beep.*
As the play concluded, the crimson velvet curtain slowly descended.
Sniffles filled the theater.
The little girl from earlier, seeing her parents' red-rimmed eyes, sobbed, "The prince is so mean! How could he forget it was the mermaid who saved him? The little mermaid is so pitiful."
The atmosphere in the theater went quiet and solemn. Babaka was somewhat moved but held it together, though Laiensi beside him was a complete wreck.
"Hey, stop crying." Babaka handed him a tissue, exasperated.
"The little mermaid's so pitiful." Laiensi, eyes red and puffy after wiping his tears, spoke his first words in defense of the mermaid.
The story of the little mermaid was simple, yet it resonated meaningfully with audiences of all ages.
After a moment, the curtain opened again, and the actors stood hand in hand at the center of the stage, bowing deeply to the audience.
Thunderous applause filled the theater. Alice smiled—today's performance had truly been one for the books.
After the play, as the audience filed out of the theater, curious passersby asked how it had been.
With their red-rimmed eyes, the audience enthusiastically recommended it. "It's amazing! If you don't see it, you'll regret it for life!!"
The people being recommended stared, a bit taken aback, then nodded. "Alright, I'll go."
Thanks to the audience's fervent word of mouth, *The Little Mermaid* became a massive hit. Those who'd missed out and those who wanted to see it again both started lining up bright and early.
By 7:30 in the morning, all 1,500 seats for *The Little Mermaid* had been filled.
Rao Ke had expected the play to be popular, but not *this* popular. Her Astrolabe feed was flooded with requests from audience members begging for more shows.
Even other theater troupes were messaging her privately, asking for the performance and adaptation rights to *The Little Mermaid*.
Rao Ke simply announced on Keke Shop's official account that the performance and adaptation rights to *The Little Mermaid* were now free and open to the public.
The buzz reached Mo Duoya's ears, and she called Rao Ke about it.
"What a shame. If I weren't so swamped, I'd come to your shop right now." Mo Duoya was stealing a rare moment of respite from her mountain of work.
Laiensi and Babaka had also shared their thoughts on the play with Mo Duoya.
The two had managed to get in line and secure seats on the second day, but by the third day, they couldn't get in at all.
"I've already made the rights public, so you can just have a troupe perform it. Though I'd still recommend Alice from the Puppet Theater Troupe—she really makes you feel like the mermaid walked right off the page." Rao Ke recommended.
Mo Duoya smiled and accepted the suggestion. "Alright, though I doubt she'll be easy to book now."
"Don't worry, you'll manage. Who would dare refuse Her Majesty Mo Duoya?" Rao Ke teased.
The two bantered for a bit, and just before hanging up, Mo Duoya remembered what she'd actually wanted to say.
"Oh, right. I'll be back for the Imperial Grace Festival in No. 7 Wandering Town. You can come see me then."
"Sounds good."
...
Keke Shop's ten-thousand-person event was a spectacular success, even carving out an unforgettable new chapter in the commercial history of the Kaqisha Continent.
Many shops began imitating Keke Shop's marketing model, launching all sorts of events of their own.
Rao Ke couldn't care less. Her only delight was that, with the adventure quest completed, the library section had been unlocked.
She eagerly opened the system panel to claim her reward.
[Congratulations, Host! Adventure quest completed! Library section has been unlocked!]
Rao Ke opened the system store and, sure enough, found the library section unlocked, with a dazzling assortment of books available.
Of course, any books that shouldn't exist in this world wouldn't be listed in the store.
"System, give me five copies of each book and stuff them all in the library."
Rao Ke planned to set up a library on the fifth floor with a borrowing system. If someone truly loved a book, they could purchase it through Keke Shop's online store.
With the library unlocked, a new position naturally opened up: librarian.
When Rao Ke mentioned it in the group chat, Aodisite enthusiastically volunteered to take the role.
The others didn't contest her, and the librarian position landed on Aodisite.
After the event ended, Afra learned that the Dwarf Underground City had beaten everyone to the punch and established a teleportation array with Keke Shop.
The dragon's spirit deflated instantly. Guiltily, she reported the news to the Flame Dragon Queen and was, naturally, sharply scolded.
Looking at Afra's pitiful state, Rao Ke instead delivered the final blow. "Because a friend of mine managed to come back to No. 7 Wandering Town, I'll have to stay here for a few more days."
Afra simply gave up. "Fine, take your time. We'll leave once everything's settled."
