You Didn't Tell Me This Was an ABO World?!

Chapter 21

The door opened.

Ji Kailan walked slowly to the bedside and lowered his gaze.

Sure enough, Su Louzhi was still in the same sleeping position he'd seen on the monitor—lying on her stomach, hugging the blanket, sleeping soundly and obliviously. Her pajamas had ridden up from her tossing and turning, revealing a sliver of fair, luminous lower back that gleamed with a delicate sheen in the dim light.

He knelt on one knee, leaned forward gently, and brought his face close to that sliver of exposed skin, inhaling deeply.

So fragrant.

That clean, sweet scent flooded his nostrils, driving away all the inferior pheromones that had plagued him for years. He sniffed greedily, the tip of his nose brushing lightly against her waist.

【Please note: nothing happened between the male and female leads!】

Then he extended his tongue and licked.

So smooth.

So tender.

The sensation made his entire body tremble. His tongue lingered over that patch of skin, once, then again, and his hand unconsciously reached out to cover her waist, stroking back and forth. The skin beneath his palm was supple and soft, like the finest silk.

Soon, he was no longer satisfied.

He reached out and gently pulled her top up another inch, revealing more fair skin.

Before he knew it, every exposed patch of her skin had been licked wet by him. In the dim light, it gleamed with a moist sheen, exuding an inexplicable sensuality.

Ji Kailan stopped. He looked at his handiwork, and a violent emotion suddenly surged from the depths of his body.

Why?

Why was she always so clean?

He'd done so much, yet still couldn't leave any trace of his own scent on her.

Clearly this bed—the bed she slept in every time she came—had traces of his release in every corner. He lay where she'd lain, breathing in the lingering traces of her scent, imagining her yielding beneath him.

But when she lay on this bed saturated with his scent, she couldn't carry away even a fraction of it.

Every time she left, she was still clean, still pure.

As if nothing had ever happened.

Ji Kailan stared at that sleeping face, darkness churning in his eyes.

Sensing his increasingly uncontrollable emotions, Ji Kailan abruptly straightened up and fled the guest room like a man escaping.

The door closed softly behind him.

He leaned against the wall in the corridor, eyes shut, chest heaving violently.

Something was wrong.

He could feel it—his rut should be coming soon.

In those first few years, his rut had been extremely regular, once a year without fail. But seven years had passed, and the intervals were growing shorter. Last year, it had already shortened to ten months.

And now...

He opened his eyes, darkness surging beneath them.

Only nine months had passed since his last rut.

Maybe it was because of Su Louzhi. Maybe it was because, over these past days, she'd stirred up too much desire in him.

In any case, he could feel that restlessness in his body was coming earlier and more violently than ever before.

Ji Kailan returned to the study and sat back down at the computer.

On the screen, Su Louzhi was still asleep.

She maintained that prone position, face buried in the pillow, revealing half of a peaceful profile. That sliver of fair lower back was still exposed to the air, rising and falling gently with each breath.

Ji Kailan's gaze fixed on that patch of skin.

His hand slowly moved downward.

The light from the screen flickered across his face. His eyes never left that sleeping figure.

His breathing gradually grew ragged.

A long while passed.

He let out a muffled groan, collapsing back into the chair, eyes closed, chest heaving.

A faint musk scent filled the air, mingled with the crisp fragrance of cedarwood.

Author's note:

In fact, the guest room has always been saturated with the scent of Ji Kailan's pheromones. Unfortunately, as an ordinary person, Su Louzhi has never been able to smell it.
