Winter Romance

Chapter 36

As they were talking, a few girls gathered around them.

The beautiful girl who had been harassed, accompanied by her friends, still had traces of shock on her face, but her eyes were already bright with gratitude.

She walked up to Wen Yan and said sincerely, “Sister, thank you so much for what you just did.”

“You’re welcome.” Wen Yan shook her head slightly, her tone gentle and reassuring. “If something like that happens again, don’t try to take them on yourself. Call the police right away. Keeping yourself safe is the most important thing.”

“Mm-hm! I’ll remember! Thank you, sis!” The girl nodded hard; the brave girl in black beside her also thanked them repeatedly.

The girl in black looked back and forth between Wen Yan and Jin Zijin with curious eyes, speaking with the bluntness of the young. “Um... are you two sisters or a couple? You look so good together.”

At that, the smile in Jin Zijin’s brows and eyes deepened all at once, warmer than the charcoal fire inside the tent.

She said nothing, only took Wen Yan’s hand with the ring on it and gently placed it on the table.

The two rings, simple in design yet quietly luminous, glinted with a faint, synchronized sheen under the warm yellow light.

“Yes.” Jin Zijin spoke at last, her voice clear and her tone carrying a hint of smug pride. “We’re married.”

“Wow——!”

A few girls cheered out loud, their eyes lighting up.

“Congratulations!”

“Wishing you happiness forever!”

“May you have a lasting marriage!”

Sincere blessings rose one after another, adding still more warmth to this snowy night.

Jin Zijin smiled and nodded in acknowledgment one by one; the look on her face was like a dragon guarding a peerless treasure.

Watching her childish pride in the midst of the others’ blessings, Wen Yan felt a soft ripple in her heart.

She couldn’t help thinking: because it is “me” who became your wife, is that why this possessiveness makes you so eager to announce it to the whole world?

That realization left the place in Wen Yan’s chest where it landed feeling so warm and swollen it almost hurt.

After the little interlude, the tent returned to its cozy bustle.

Jin Zijin was clearly in a very good mood; in the warm atmosphere and with the delicious food, she had a few more drinks.

By the time Wen Yan felt it was enough, the corners of Jin Zijin’s eyes had already been tinted with a faint flush of red. Her gaze, once sharp and clear, now carried a misty softness and a touch of dependence.

Wen Yan paid the bill and thanked Aunt Bao again and again before half-supporting, half-holding Jin Zijin as she led her out of the tent.

Snow was still falling heavily; it landed on their heated faces and brought a trace of coolness.

The black sedan waiting at the mouth of the alley glided up soundlessly, and Bodyguard Jin Heng opened the door, silently shielding them as they got in.

The car’s cabin was spacious and quiet, completely cut off from the wind and snow outside.

Warm air flowed gently through it, carrying the mingled scents of leather and the faint fragrance on Jin Zijin’s body.

Just as the door shut firmly, Jin Zijin seemed to lose all her strength, or as though some invisible thread were pulling her; she softly crawled over toward Wen Yan.

She accurately cupped Wen Yan’s face, her fingertips cool, carrying the heat of alcohol.

“Mine.” She stared into Wen Yan’s eyes and enunciated each word, her breath carrying the scent of liquor.

Wen Yan let her hold her face. She lifted a hand to tuck a loose strand of hair behind Jin Zijin’s ear, her tone helpless yet indulgent. “You’re drunk.”

“I’m not drunk,” Jin Zijin frowned in protest, her gaze hazy but stubborn. “I’m perfectly clear.”

Her fingertips slowly traced Wen Yan’s lower lip, which had turned a soft pink from the alcohol and food. “Was it here last time too?”

She leaned in closer, their noses almost touching, and lowered her voice into something coaxing, mixed with a faintly spoiled complaint. “I don’t really remember what you did.”

Wen Yan’s throat moved, but she didn’t answer.

Jin Zijin’s lashes trembled, like butterflies brushing petals.

She looked into Wen Yan’s deep eyes, and in her drunken haze, her desire was naked and unmistakable. “This time, I want to watch it while I’m sober, and feel it... okay?”

Before she even finished speaking, her kiss had already fallen.

Unlike the mischievous peck from inside the tent, this kiss carried the heat of liquor and a depth that brooked no refusal.

Their lips and tongues tangled; their breaths mingled; the remaining sharpness of baijiu and the taste of each other mixed completely.

Wen Yan hesitated only for a moment before quickly taking the lead, wrapping an arm around Jin Zijin’s waist and pressing her closer, deepening the kiss.

In the dizzying gaps between their closeness, Jin Zijin panted and caught Wen Yan’s hand, guiding it along.

“Here; you touched me here in the car, didn’t you?”

Her lips brushed Wen Yan’s mouth as she spoke in a thick, heated murmur, guiding Wen Yan’s palm to her chest and making her feel the rapid pounding beneath it.

“And here... here... you touched all of it, didn’t you?”

Under her guidance, Wen Yan’s fingers slid lower, over the taut line of her abdomen, stopping at the edge of her suit trousers.

Wen Yan’s breathing suddenly grew heavier, her fingertips trembling slightly.

“Back then in the car, there wasn’t a finger cot?”

Jin Zijin suddenly pulled back a little, a mischievous curiosity flashing in her misty eyes. “Last time... you went in directly?”

Wen Yan’s cheeks burned hot. She gave a barely audible, “Mm.”

“And then?” Jin Zijin pressed on like a curious student, while her fingers drew restless lines over Wen Yan’s collarbone. “Did you wipe it off with wet wipes?”

As if remembering something, she turned and took a pack of individually wrapped wet wipes from the car’s storage compartment.

She tore one open; with its cool dampness still on it, she took Wen Yan’s hand without explanation and laid the wipe over it. “Like this?”

Lowering her lashes, Jin Zijin’s expression was one of near-reverent concentration as she carefully wiped each of Wen Yan’s fingers with the wet tissue.

From fingertip to the spaces between them, slowly and meticulously, as though cleaning some priceless treasure, or performing some secret ritual.

The icy dampness touched skin and sent wave after wave of shivers through her.

Wen Yan looked at her lowered profile, her trembling lashes, and felt the careful touch of her fingertips; it was almost torturous.

She pressed her lips together, the string of her reason pulled taut to the limit, on the verge of snapping.

After a moment, Wen Yan suddenly snatched her hand back, and the wet wipe fluttered away.

The next second, she forcefully wrapped an arm around Jin Zijin and lifted her entire body up, instantly switching their positions.

She made Jin Zijin straddle her lap.

The posture drew a soft cry from Jin Zijin; her hands instinctively clutched Wen Yan’s shoulders.

Wen Yan gave her no time to adjust. One hand locked tightly around her waist, while the other nearly violently tore open the buckle of her suit belt.

The soft click of the metal buckle snapping open sounded especially clear in the enclosed car.

Wen Yan’s movements were urgent and impossible to refuse as she quickly stripped away the trousers’ restraint.

What met her hand was a shockingly slick, scorching heat.

Jin Zijin trembled all over, letting out a stifled whimper; her body went limp in an instant, nearly collapsing completely against Wen Yan’s shoulder.

Wen Yan did not hesitate at all.

“Mm...”

Jin Zijin suddenly threw her head back, both hands clamping desperately around Wen Yan’s head, fingers digging into the hair at the back of her neck as she gave a muffled cry.

In the fierce twisting and tangling, Wen Yan’s palm was soaked through.

Jin Zijin lay over Wen Yan’s shoulder, panting hard, her whole body trembling faintly.

A few seconds later, she let out a long, satisfied sigh, her warm breath brushing Wen Yan’s ear. So comfortable...

Then she turned her head, her wet lips brushing Wen Yan’s earlobe as she pouted and ordered in a breathy voice, “...More.”

Wen Yan closed her eyes. When she opened them again, the last traces of restraint in them had disappeared; the dark depths were full of predation.

She said nothing more and answered directly with action.

The woman’s skin glowed like ivory in the dim car light; because of arousal and the bite of cold, tiny bumps had risen across it.

Wen Yan held her, turned, and pressed her against the cold car window.

“Mn...”

Outside, snow kept falling, sticking to the glass before the hot breath inside the car melted it into patches of pale white mist.

Jin Zijin’s forehead hit the cold window with a soft sound.

Her hot, damp breath fogged the glass, spreading larger circles of haze and blurring the snowy world beyond.

“Ah... ah...”

Jin Zijin bit down on the back of her own hand, trying to stifle the sounds that kept slipping out.

Tears welled up uncontrollably and slid over her flushed cheeks.

Noticing her movement, Wen Yan freed one hand, looped it around her neck, and covered her mouth.

Beneath her palm were soft, damp lips and the broken breaths Jin Zijin could no longer suppress.

“Shh...”

Wen Yan pressed to her ear, her voice low and hoarse, warning her sternly, “Don’t make a sound... someone might hear.”

Even as she spoke, her movements grew fiercer and more violent, as though she intended to pin Jin Zijin there against the misted-up window.

Jin Zijin’s whimpers were trapped in her throat, turning into even more sultry muffled moans.

All her muscles tightened; her insteps arched and her toes curled.

Under Wen Yan’s rhythm, she lost herself completely in the snow and wind, able only to passively endure this sober and wild feast.

No one knew how long had passed before the storm finally began to subside.

Wen Yan released the hand covering Jin Zijin’s mouth, then turned her soft, limp body around and pulled her close in a face-to-face embrace.

Wen Yan lowered her head to kiss Jin Zijin’s tear-wet lashes, to kiss the tear tracks on her face.

Jin Zijin seemed to regain a little sense from the extreme dizziness; the lingering embarrassment and shame rushed back in.

She raised a hand and weakly patted Wen Yan’s cheek, her voice hoarse beyond recognition, full of complaint. “Don’t kiss me.”

Tears still clung at the corners of her eyes.

Wen Yan complied readily; her kisses slid from Jin Zijin’s cheek down to her equally sweat-damp neck, where she gently sucked.

“Mm...” Jin Zijin shivered sensitively and instinctively pressed her legs together, trapping Wen Yan’s waist against her side as she protested with a crying voice, “Don’t... you’re really... too much...”

She lifted her misty, tearful eyes and glared at Wen Yan’s usually calm, self-possessed face, only to see that it was now flushed with desire and a trace of satisfied languor; the contradiction made her heartbeat lose its rhythm.

Jin Zijin bit her lower lip and couldn’t help accusing her, “How can you... look so proper... and still be so bad?”

At that, Wen Yan stopped and lifted her eyes to meet hers.

Her gaze had regained a little clarity, but sparks still had not completely faded from its depths.

She leaned to Jin Zijin’s red ear and, in a breath only the two of them could hear, slowly and distinctly stated, word by word, “I’m not bad.”

“It was you who begged me.”

Wen Yan’s breath was scorching; her words were even more direct, enough to make Jin Zijin tremble all over.

“It was you who asked for it harder.”

“And it was you who asked for it faster too...”

“Jin Zijin, you were the one begging me.”

Each word was like a tiny hook, scraping against Jin Zijin’s most sensitive nerves.

“Ahhh——!” Jin Zijin completely broke down, her face burning red as she let out a humiliating cry.

She buried her hot face deep in Wen Yan’s neck, pounding hard at the sweat-damp back in front of her with both hands, and muttered in a muffled voice, “Stop talking!! Shut up! I won’t let you say it anymore!”

Wen Yan laughed softly; her chest vibrated.

She tightened the arms around her, hugging the bashful bundle of her lover even closer, and lightly rubbed her chin against the soft crown of her hair. Her eyes were filled with tenderness and possessiveness so dense they seemed impossible to melt away.

————————

Seriously, you’re so cute, Jin Zijin. I’m starting to doubt whether you can still be the top.

Are you still going to do that 0.1 thing!!! [head pat]

It’s fine, we can do it later. [panda face]

TL Note:

baijiu (茅台) means a strong Chinese distilled liquor; Moutai is a famous brand of it.

0.1 means almost completely the bottom/submissive partner, with only a tiny bit of “top” energy.
