Chapter 55
Rose No. 55: A Sudden Ambush.
The room was filled with warm, fragrant air. Fu Chaoying couldn’t help swallowing, the tip of her tongue faintly tasting salt; the smile in her eyes and brows was impossible to hide.
In a daze, a faint, tingling numbness brushed over her scalp; Ye Jiayuan was gently smoothing her hair.
Fu Chaoying couldn’t help grinding her teeth lightly, and heard Ye Jiayuan let out a barely audible, low moan.
Like a stimulant, hearing Ye Jiayuan’s breathing grow ever more ragged, Fu Chaoying laughed softly and let her go.
Her gaze dropped unconsciously, and she saw a damp patch on her clothes. Fu Chaoying’s throat moved; she looked up in sudden realization, meeting Ye Jiayuan’s eyes.
But those usually cool, deep eyes were now dark as ink, even more so than any time before. Fu Chaoying was startled, then rose onto her toes to meet her lips.
Ye Jiayuan could barely restrain herself as she pulled Fu Chaoying into a deep kiss.
Fu Chaoying followed her lead, circling around her waist and rubbing lightly, brushing over her skin without meaning to; a few faint shocks seemed to jump between them.
The texture was too smooth. Fu Chaoying’s breathing quickened, and her fingertips pressed harder and harder. At last she grasped something, kneading it softly.
Unconsciously exerting force, Fu Chaoying heard her let out a broken, “Mm...”
It was obvious.
Fu Chaoying’s heartbeat sped up even more. Struggling to breathe, she broke from her lips and scooped her up around the waist.
The instant Ye Jiayuan left the ground, she let out an astonished laugh. “Little darling, you’re strong.”
Fu Chaoying looked at her smiling face and only felt that she was even more beautiful in her arms, especially when she looped her arms around Fu Chaoying’s neck and smiled so sweetly.
Ye Jiayuan was to her like water to a fish.
Ye Jiayuan possessed a natural allure for her; a beckoning finger, a smile, even a soft call of “Xiaoying” or “little darling” was enough to make her willingly submit.
Step by step, they went up to the second floor. The darkness in Ye Jiayuan’s eyes deepened.
Fu Chaoying set her down by the bed, took the little toy and alcohol from the bedside table, and carried them into the bathroom to disinfect.
She was carefully wiping her hands when she was suddenly hugged from behind. That soft sensation grew even more distinct, still lightly brushing against her back.
Fu Chaoying’s heart jumped violently, only to be wrapped by Ye Jiayuan’s arms around her waist. Warm breath drifted by her ear as she heard her say, “Little darling is so meticulous.”
Coughing twice, Fu Chaoying still couldn’t hide the rasp in her voice.
“It’s Sister’s first time, of course I have to take it seriously.”
A low laugh came from beside her ear, and the itch deep in Fu Chaoying’s heart swelled even more. When she took a tissue to dry her hands and the toy, Fu Chaoying turned and kissed her collarbone.
Ye Jiayuan lifted her head unconsciously to make it easier for her kisses, her breathing growing more and more urgent.
The heavier panting by her ear landed right on Fu Chaoying’s heart. She kissed all the way to the window and gently laid her down on the soft cushion.
When Fu Chaoying looked up, she saw the corners of Ye Jiayuan’s eyes had turned a little red. She couldn’t help kissing her lips lightly; their tongues tangled, and the temperature kept climbing.
A thin sheen of sweat gathered across her back. Fu Chaoying raised a hand to search, groping aimlessly, and heard several soft moans from her.
“Little darling...”
Fu Chaoying finally touched the surging wetness, greater than any time before. It even seeped through the thin fabric.
Her heart stirred. Drawing in a breath, she said, “Sister, hold on a moment, okay?”
“Mm.”
Hearing Ye Jiayuan’s distinctly hoarse voice, Fu Chaoying pulled gently downward, revealing pale skin along with the undergrowth.
She brushed through it softly first, then lightly stroked around that area.
Watching those thin lips open and close, beaded with moisture, Fu Chaoying lowered her head and kissed her, her tongue slipping in to stir everything up. She heard a sound not her own spill from Ye Jiayuan’s throat, along with the close, wet noises of water.
Interwoven in her heart, Fu Chaoying lightly licked away the droplets and swallowed them. Then she laughed in sudden realization. “I think I know why Sister likes kissing me so much.”
Droplets that should have had no taste at all, and might even have been a little salty, somehow turned sweet the moment they touched her tongue.
Ye Jiayuan’s reason was nearly gone. Unable to answer, she could only give a soft “Mm.” That single syllable was gentle and lingering, the tail end of it curling beautifully.
Fu Chaoying smiled softly, then slipped into her lips again. Her fingertips were wet and hot; the warmth around her wrapped in on all sides, setting the mind afloat.
After a long while, Fu Chaoying finally heard some involuntary moan by her ear. The fingers that had been tightly enclosed were loosened at last, then enclosed again.
“Ha... mm...”
Feeling Ye Jiayuan’s uncontrollable spasms and trembling, Fu Chaoying kissed her again, catching it and taking it gently into her mouth.
Kissing softly to soothe her, Fu Chaoying finally reached her collarbone, brushing over it like a feather before winding back to her lips to block her faint gasps.
A sheen of sweat appeared on Ye Jiayuan’s forehead. Fu Chaoying lifted a hand to gently wipe it away, then sucked hard on the tip of her tongue and pressed against her lips as she asked softly, “Does Sister like it?”
Before the words even faded, Fu Chaoying fell into her dazed eyes. This was the first time she had seen Ye Jiayuan’s reason so scattered.
In the peak of pleasure, even the always cool and self-possessed Ye Jiayuan could not keep her composure.
Fu Chaoying gave a faint laugh, slid a finger across her lips, and asked again, “Does Sister want to try that one now?”
Ye Jiayuan was still drawing in breaths; she only raised a hand to lightly stroke the back of Fu Chaoying’s neck, then gave a small nod.
Looking at the renewed beads of sweat on her forehead, Fu Chaoying smiled and took the disinfected toy, setting it to the lowest setting.
A buzzing sound rang out suddenly as Fu Chaoying placed it on the most sensitive spot.
The tide grew deeper. Fu Chaoying couldn’t help opening her mouth to catch it. With both sides in sync, Ye Jiayuan quickly started trembling again.
“Don’t...” Ye Jiayuan’s cool, hoarse voice carried a hint of pleading.
Fu Chaoying paused slightly, then withdrew at the same time, raising her eyes to meet that look stripped of reason. In those misty eyes was still a certain kind of longing; Fu Chaoying laughed in sudden understanding.
Guessing at the push-and-pull of refusal and invitation, Fu Chaoying kissed her again. This time she switched to her fingers.
Before long, Ye Jiayuan surrendered again. “There... Little darling, stop...”
Fu Chaoying took it away at once, then leaned in to block her thin lips and feed the sweet liquid back into her own mouth.
Only then did she kiss the line of her jaw, her palm lightly stroking along her back to soothe her.
Ye Jiayuan still hadn’t stopped trembling. Fu Chaoying whispered by her ear, “Sister, Sister has so much water.”
It was a very embarrassing thing to say. Ye Jiayuan looked away, not meeting her eyes. Fu Chaoying’s gaze caught the tips of her ears, flushed scarlet, and she opened her mouth to take one, stirring her erection again.
Fu Chaoying gently sucked on her earlobe and cooed in a small voice, “Sister, praise me...”
Ye Jiayuan said nothing. Fu Chaoying leaned in again toward her lips, lifted a hand to lightly knead the soft flesh, and murmured, “Just praise me a little... You obviously like it...”
Ye Jiayuan turned her eyes back to her and raised a hand to lightly stroke her hair. “Little darling learns very quickly.”
Fu Chaoying curved her brows in satisfaction and smiled. “But today I only used one... Next time let Sister try two, okay?”
One was already enough to reach...
Ye Jiayuan’s gaze was hazy; she looked away again and gave a soft “Mm.”
Fu Chaoying kissed her lips and chuckled. “I really understand Sister now...”
At the peak of pleasure, reason disappears; all one wants is to help the other reach it quickly. And even after she’s gotten there, the lingering afterglow makes it impossible to let go right away.
Ye Jiayuan asked hoarsely, “Do you want to?”
Fu Chaoying hooked her little finger and laughed. “Does Sister still have the strength?”
Ye Jiayuan weakly lowered her hand and said softly, “A little rest is enough.”
Fu Chaoying lifted a hand to smooth her soft hair. “But Sister would be very tired like that... Better get some proper rest.”
As she watched Ye Jiayuan slowly close her eyes, Fu Chaoying fixed her gaze on the water-beaded tips of her long lashes.
Fu Chaoying couldn’t help reaching out to touch them, but then saw her eyes open again. “Mm?”
Fu Chaoying leaned in and kissed her lightly; it tasted a little salty.
After holding each other for a long while, Fu Chaoying was already getting drowsy when Ye Jiayuan gently kissed her awake.
“Little darling.”
The moment Fu Chaoying opened her eyes, she fell straight into Ye Jiayuan’s gentle gaze; her heart jolted violently, thinking she was about to... but then heard her say warmly, “What’s the other surprise?”
Fu Chaoying blinked, her mind returning, and remembered the suspense she had left hanging earlier.
She sat up. “The surprise is downstairs.”
Seeing Ye Jiayuan sit up as well, Fu Chaoying accidentally glanced over the kiss marks on her fair skin and hurriedly looked away.
Ye Jiayuan noticed her reaction and teased softly, “Little darling is shy again.”
Fu Chaoying turned back, her face slightly red, lips pressed together as she watched her dress herself methodically. Fu Chaoying came up behind her and hugged her, joking, “Sister, carry me.”
Before the words had even fallen, Fu Chaoying’s hips were lifted, and then her whole body was suspended in the air—she really was carried by Ye Jiayuan on her back.
Fu Chaoying quickly patted her shoulder. “I-I was joking.”
Then she was set back down. Fu Chaoying let out a breath of relief, only to see Ye Jiayuan turn her head and look at her, amusement flickering in her brows and eyes. “My legs are a little weak.”
The two of them smiled at each other. Ye Jiayuan waited where she was, one hand slightly raised.
Fu Chaoying put on her slippers from the other side and walked lightly up to her, lightly tapping her palm. “I’m going to wash my hands.”
There was still residue on her fingers. Fu Chaoying’s cheeks warmed slightly as she squeezed out some hand soap and carefully rubbed her fingers clean, only to be hugged again from behind.
A hint of mischief flashed through Fu Chaoying’s eyes. She rinsed her fingers under water and held them up to her nose. “Sister, smell and see if there’s still anything left?”
Ye Jiayuan really leaned in to sniff lightly. The instant Fu Chaoying’s fingertips felt the cool air, they were taken into her mouth by lightning speed and gently sucked.
A current shot straight to her heart. Fu Chaoying forced herself not to pull back, only to hear Ye Jiayuan laugh softly.
“Little darling is so obedient.”
That magnetic voice sounded by her ear. Fu Chaoying seized the chance to draw her fingers back, her face red as she muttered, “Sister is so bad.”
“How am I bad?” Ye Jiayuan breathed softly against her ear. “Is it bad because I kissed your finger...”
Ye Jiayuan started teasing her all over again, reverting to that calm, fully in control look.
Fu Chaoying couldn’t help turning around and lightly sucking on her collarbone.
“It itches...” Ye Jiayuan shrank back a little, then smiled as she put an arm around Fu Chaoying’s shoulder. “Alright, let’s go downstairs.”
Fu Chaoying laughed softly and went downstairs with her.
Fu Chaoying opened her carry bag and took out a very thick notebook.
“This is me organizing my diary; I pulled out everything I’d written about you.”
Fu Chaoying flipped it open casually, only to hear her say in a deep voice, “And photos.”
Fu Chaoying nodded obediently. “I sorted the album too.”
“In the more than twenty years before I met you, Sister was a very important presence.”
Ye Jiayuan couldn’t help reaching out to lightly tap the tip of her nose, then held her and sat down on the sofa. “Then let’s look at them together.”
Fu Chaoying wrapped her arms around her waist and, leaning sideways against her, flipped through them together.
Fortunately, Ye Jiayuan and Fu Chaoying’s mother both liked taking records, so there were quite a few photos of them as children.
Although most of the photos included other people, and Fu Chaoying’s diary mostly recorded ordinary daily things, usually just in passing, like, “Sister Jiayuan took us to Pizza Hut. We ate durian pizza. So happy.”
Ye Jiayuan still read it with great interest.
Nestled in her arms, Fu Chaoying sighed softly, “If I had known you’d become my girlfriend someday, I should have...”
“You should have done what?” Ye Jiayuan looked down at her, a little amusement in her brows and eyes.
“I should have... pestered you every day with questions,” Fu Chaoying muttered softly. “I didn’t really dare look for you before.”
Ye Jiayuan’s cold, hard image had sunk deep into people’s minds. Fu Chaoying had been a little afraid of her when she was small, because Ye Jiayuan wasn’t especially patient with her.
Ye Jiayuan gently stroked her hair and pressed a kiss to the tip of her nose. “Sorry. Did I leave you with psychological trauma?”
Fu Chaoying shook her head. “Even when I was very little, I was certain you were a good person.”
Ye Jiayuan nodded slightly, the corners of her brows softening.
Fu Chaoying yawned without meaning to and lightly stroked her forearm. “Sister, I’m sleepy.”
“Alright, sleep.” Ye Jiayuan closed the notebook and effortlessly lifted her up.
Fu Chaoying instinctively wrapped her arms around her waist, sleepy and dazed as she closed her eyes in her arms; but just as her awareness was fading, she suddenly jolted awake. “I haven’t showered yet!”
Ye Jiayuan lowered her eyes to look at her and said calmly, “I’ll carry you to wash.”
Fu Chaoying stared into her eyes, the corners of her mouth curling. “I’ll do it myself.”
Ye Jiayuan looked at her for a long moment. “Alright.”
Fu Chaoying took a rapid combat shower, but the instant she opened the bathroom door, Ye Jiayuan scooped her up around the waist.
Fu Chaoying jumped, lightly poking her shoulder as she laughed. “Sister... I want to sleep!”
As soon as she said that, Ye Jiayuan set her on the bed, her body instantly sinking into warmth.
Ye Jiayuan gently kissed her forehead. “Good night, little darling.”
Her tone was tender to the extreme. Fu Chaoying slowly closed her eyes, then was hazily gathered into her arms and fell into a deep sleep.
The nightmares did not return; Fu Chaoying slept exceptionally soundly.
When she woke early the next morning, she found Ye Jiayuan gazing at her, her eyes overflowing with tenderness and light.
Fu Chaoying curved her lips slightly and leaned closer, smiling softly. “Why is Sister looking at me first thing in the morning?”
“You’re cute.” Ye Jiayuan lifted a hand to gently stroke her face and said softly.
Fu Chaoying leaned in and wrapped her arms tighter around her waist, rubbing lightly against her chest. “I don’t want to get up.”
“Then... shall we do something interesting?”
Fu Chaoying instantly woke up, poked her waist, and said, “Oh? Then let’s try two fingers.”
Before the words faded, the world turned upside down; Ye Jiayuan’s kiss came down, followed by a deep voice: “My turn.”
Perhaps because the night before had been too tender, Ye Jiayuan’s kisses today were a little more than Fu Chaoying could handle.
An unprecedented heat swept over her. Fu Chaoying couldn’t restrain a soft moan, lifting a leg to rub against her.
Drawing in a breath, she asked hoarsely, “Sister, want to try the same kind as last time?”
All she heard was Ye Jiayuan’s soft “Mm,” and then she felt coolness.
In the end, the two of them held each other and steadied their breathing and heartbeats, then went to the bathroom together for a shower.
Bathing in the tub was a fixed item on the schedule.
Fu Chaoying was held on her lap as she watched the water splash everywhere, her throat making little humming, whimpering sounds.
At last it was over, and Fu Chaoying felt sleepiness coming on again. She lightly poked Ye Jiayuan’s shoulder. “I want to sleep a little more.”
“Alright.” Ye Jiayuan dried her off, wrapped her in a bath towel, carried her to bed, and laid her down properly, then said softly, “I have an event this morning. Remember to go downstairs for breakfast.”
Fu Chaoying suddenly opened her eyes and clung to her neck, unwilling to let go. “Sister isn’t allowed to leave.”
There was an unconsciously lingering, spoiled note in her voice.
Ye Jiayuan’s gaze shifted; she coaxed softly by Fu Chaoying’s ear, “I’ll bring you something delicious when I get home.”
“What delicious thing?”
“The char siu buns you like best.”
Fu Chaoying struggled a little, then let go of her, but still tugged at the hem of her clothes. “I also have to work overtime at the Hong Kong Museum of Art this afternoon.”
Hearing the faint disappointment in her tone, Ye Jiayuan smiled. “Then I’ll pick you up after work.”
“Okay.” Fu Chaoying nodded lightly. Watching her turn to get dressed, she slowly closed her eyes, only to feel a kiss pressed to her forehead. “Good morning.”
“Good morning.” Fu Chaoying said softly.
After sleeping in a little longer, Fu Chaoying woke leisurely, went downstairs for breakfast, and ran into Auntie at the corner of the dining room.
Auntie smiled. “What would Miss Chaoying like to eat at noon?”
Fu Chaoying returned a small smile. “I’ll go downstairs and buy some bread later, so you don’t need to prepare anything.”
It was already 10:30 now, just right for a late breakfast and early lunch. She could buy a loaf of bread to tide herself over, then have dinner later.
Auntie didn’t insist and only accompanied her through the meal with a smile.
After eating a bowl of wontons, then some toast and a fried egg, Fu Chaoying finally felt full.
Looks like she had expended too much energy from last night to this morning.
A smile curved her lips. She walked to the balcony, stretched, and after staring at the empty space there, suddenly had an idea.
She turned back upstairs, changed clothes, and went out.
On the way to the flower shop, she passed a pet store and couldn’t help glancing inside, where she saw many adorable kittens and puppies.
Suddenly remembering what Ye Jiayuan had told her at Nanda, Fu Chaoying’s heart stirred.
But she didn’t go in; instead, she walked into a nearby flower shop, picked out some greenery and flowers, and asked the shopkeeper to have them delivered home.
After arranging everything at home, Fu Chaoying drove to the art museum, arriving almost at the same time as her colleagues.
There was a professional curator on the team, so Fu Chaoying didn’t offer too many opinions; she simply stayed with everyone and helped finish the work. Only when something needed optimization did she speak up.
Busy until 3:30 in the afternoon, Fu Chaoying suddenly received a call from Ye Jiayuan—
"Xiaoying, I ordered afternoon tea for you and your colleagues."
Fu Chaoying laughed softly. “How did Sister know I was hungry?”
“Guessed that you only ate one late breakfast.”
“Bugging my phone!” Fu Chaoying’s tone was bright, but then she heard Ye Jiayuan ask in confusion, “Hmm? There’s no surveillance at home.”
Hearing her explain seriously, Fu Chaoying couldn’t help bursting out laughing. “It’s just a joke.”
Ye Jiayuan also laughed. “I may really be a little old-fashioned.”
After hanging up, the afternoon tea arrived right on time.
Fu Chaoying gathered everyone together to share it, only to see that among all the milk teas and pastries, there was a box of char siu buns that stood out all the more.
It was from the place she liked best.
Her heart gave a small tremor. She picked it up and took a photo to send to Ye Jiayuan. [I like it.]
The other side didn’t reply for a long time. Fu Chaoying took off her gloves and picked up one to put in her mouth.
Only after she finished eating did she receive a response: [Like what.]
Fu Chaoying: [I like char siu buns [rose]]
Ye Jiayuan almost replied instantly: [You don’t like me...]
Fu Chaoying quoted her own earlier message, then typed lightly: [But I like you even more [heart]]
In less than two seconds, a kiss emoji popped up on the chat page, and Fu Chaoying froze slightly.
Assistant Li Bingzhe across from her laughed softly. “Teacher Fu, why are you spacing out?”
Fu Chaoying waved lightly at her and showed her the kiss emoji Ye Jiayuan had sent.
“Cough... President Ye is really smooth,” Li Bingzhe laughed until she nearly doubled over. “As expected of a domineering CEO. I’m shipping it again.”
Because it was a wall-pinning kiss emoji.
Fu Chaoying’s eyes curved as she put away her phone and asked with a grin, “How’s it going with Xiao Lan?”
Xiao Lan was the legal colleague who had come to Hong Kong on the last business trip, and also Li Bingzhe’s crush.
Li Bingzhe played mysterious. “Teacher Fu, guess?”
Fu Chaoying shook her head and looked over in the distance, saying softly, “I’m guessing you two are still in a stalemate.”
Following her gaze, Li Bingzhe looked over and gave the other person a sweet smile.
The other person shyly looked away.
Li Bingzhe withdrew her gaze and smiled. “She’s a little shy.”
Fu Chaoying understood. “Go for it, go for it. Victory is right ahead.”
After another two hours of work, Fu Chaoying received a call from Ye Jiayuan saying she had already arrived at the art museum parking lot.
Fu Chaoying checked the progress, told Li Bingzhe, “I’m leaving first. If there’s anything, call me.”
“Got it, got it. Teacher Fu, go ahead and don’t worry.” Li Bingzhe chuckled.
Fu Chaoying’s lips curved. She picked up her bag and headed for the parking lot.
But at the museum entrance, she already saw Ye Jiayuan’s figure. Fu Chaoying’s heart trembled; instinctively, she ran all the way toward her.
She bumped lightly into her embrace and had her hand taken.
“Let’s go home.” Ye Jiayuan said gently.
Fu Chaoying’s lips lifted high. Once she was seated in the car, she asked softly, “Does Sister want to taste what flavor today’s milk tea is?”
Ye Jiayuan subconsciously glanced over; not seeing a milk tea in her hand, she then nonchalantly skimmed her lips with her eyes—
“I want to taste it.”
Fu Chaoying leaned slightly toward her, and as their breaths mingled, she smiled. “Then Sister should buy another cup.”
The fragrant scent before her nose vanished abruptly; Ye Jiayuan froze for a moment, then reached out to lightly rub her hair. “You still say I’m bad; you’re the worst one.”
Fu Chaoying burst out laughing, her brows curving even more.
Ye Jiayuan drove extremely steadily.
Fu Chaoying raised a hand to play music, only to see a phone call pop up on the screen, followed by a ringtone.
It was her aunt calling Ye Jiayuan.
“Answer it?”
Hearing Ye Jiayuan give a soft “Mm,” Fu Chaoying reached out and picked up the call.
"Xiaoyuan, you’re in Hong Kong, right?"
Fu Chaoying’s brow jumped at those words. She heard Ye Jiayuan say, “Yes.”
“Your mother and I are here for a visit. We’ll be home in ten minutes.”
Fu Chaoying guessed that Chu Yiyun still hadn’t calmed down, which was why Fu Anyun was calling Ye Jiayuan.
Ye Jiayuan gave a soft “Mm.” “See you later.”
Fu Chaoying’s heart began beating faster on its own. “Why are they here?”
“They said they’re here to visit.” Ye Jiayuan replied indifferently.
But Fu Chaoying shook her head; something about this didn’t seem so simple. Their estimated arrival time was fifteen minutes later. Chu Yiyun and Fu Anyun would definitely get there before them.
A thought flashed through Fu Chaoying’s mind, and she blurted out, “No, my clothes and suitcase are still in your bedroom!”
