Obsessed

Chapter 57

Yu Nianyi slowly opened her eyes. After a moment of adjusting to the light in the room, she belatedly became aware of the presence beside her.

She turned over and quietly looked at Xi Yu, who was lying beside her with uncommon neatness.

The dark curtains blocked out all the brilliance and noise from outside; the room was silent. Xi Yu had her eyes closed, her lips pressed together, both hands folded over her stomach, sleeping with almost exaggerated propriety. If one looked closely, there was even the faintest crease between her brows.

The Xi Yu from her dream flashed indistinctly through Yu Nianyi’s mind; staring at the woman in front of her, Yu Nianyi felt her imagination had perhaps been a little too wild.

She bit back a smile, extended her arm, and let her hand hover above Xi Yu’s brows and eyes; then she lightly tapped the center of her forehead.

Xi Yu’s brow furrowed even more. The next second, she suddenly opened her eyes.

Yu Nianyi jumped, then lowered her voice immediately. “Ah, Xi Yu-jie, did I wake you?”

Xi Yu turned to look at her and kept that angle for a long while. Under that shared gaze, Yu Nianyi finally couldn’t hold back and asked instinctively, “What is it?”

“Nothing.” Xi Yu closed her eyes briefly, then lifted a hand and very naturally stroked Yu Nianyi’s face; her fingers traced the corner of her eye and then came to her ear, pinching it gently.

Yu Nianyi shrank her neck, her face flushing bright red.

“You fell asleep early yesterday,” Xi Yu said.

“Right.” Yu Nianyi paused, then leaned in with a bright smile. “Because I was so happy being with you, sister, I got too excited, so I just fell asleep naturally.”

Xi Yu gave a quiet hum. “Is your body uncomfortable?”

Yu Nianyi froze for a moment; hearing that, she carefully checked how she felt.

Last night, at most, the two of them had done it twice; once while Yu Nianyi was awake, and once when she was half-awake, already in a drowsy, half-conscious state. She still remembered all of that. Just twice; there really shouldn’t be any big problem.

“No,” Yu Nianyi said with a rather smug air. “My body is very good. Last night didn’t count for much.”

Xi Yu looked at Yu Nianyi’s somewhat exaggerated expression and repeated, “Didn’t count for much?”

Yu Nianyi hurriedly waved her hands, terrified Xi Yu might misunderstand. “That’s not what I meant!”

As she spoke, she leaned closer again, wrapped her arms around Xi Yu, and rubbed her head against the crook of her neck, acting spoiled. “Sister, I just don’t want you to worry. I really, really didn’t mean anything else. Sister was amazing last night; I liked it so much!”

Xi Yu stiffened, her gaze turning slightly unfocused. She didn’t speak; her hand rested at the hollow of Yu Nianyi’s waist and pressed lightly.

Yu Nianyi felt the touch against her back and was instantly delighted. Then she heard Xi Yu say, “You said your waist hurt last night. If it’s nothing, that’s good.”

Yu Nianyi giggled, then suddenly leaned over and kissed Xi Yu’s side face. “Why are you so nice, sister? I must have said that while I was half-asleep; I don’t remember it at all.”

Xi Yu gave a soft hum and asked, “Want to get up?”

Yu Nianyi nodded. Only after Xi Yu withdrew her hand did she prop herself up and try to sit.

The moment she sat up, the stiffness in her waist became clear, along with the soreness in the insides of her thighs. Yu Nianyi coughed dryly, startled in her heart; only after fully sitting up did she notice the bag of finger cot wrappers in the trash can on the floor.

1, 2, 3——

She clearly remembered that before she completely fell asleep, they had only done it twice.

Yu Nianyi: “……”

“Is it uncomfortable?” Xi Yu had somehow already appeared behind her. She had gotten out of bed and supported Yu Nianyi as she stood.

Yu Nianyi: !!!

She had thought someone like Xi Yu wouldn’t care much about this kind of thing, but how was there so much on the very first night?

She forced down the discomfort between her legs and stepped forward.

“Sorry. Last night was my fault,” Xi Yu said, lowering her gaze as she looked at Yu Nianyi calmly. “It won’t be like that again.”

Yu Nianyi came back to herself at once and waved her hand with a smile. “Xi Yu-jie is underestimating me too much! This kind of thing is totally fine for me!”

Xi Yu looked at her, and though Yu Nianyi seemed unconcerned, she still gently led her into the bathroom and asked, “What do you want to eat?”

Only then did Yu Nianyi realize she was hungry. Thinking for a moment, she asked, “Is Xi Yu-jie going to cook?”

“Mm. I don’t have anything scheduled today.”

“Okay, then I want some noodles; the kind Xi Yu-jie is best at. Let me taste them, okay?”

Xi Yu agreed, then watched Yu Nianyi go out.

When Yu Nianyi finally came out after washing up, the bedsheets and duvet cover in the bedroom had already been replaced with fresh ones, and there was a new set of sleepwear on the bed.

She walked over and changed into it on the spot. It was a pure white set with black patterns at the cuffs; very comfortable on the body.

When she came out, Xi Yu was already wearing an apron in the kitchen.

Yu Nianyi walked over and sat on the barstool, staring at Xi Yu.

Seeing that she was out, Xi Yu said, “About ten more minutes. You can have a little of the food on the table first.”

Yu Nianyi gave a hum and casually picked up a strawberry to put in her mouth, chewing slowly.

Neither of them had gotten up all that early; by now it was already after eleven, just about lunchtime.

“Xi Yu-jie even likes to sleep in on weekends,” Yu Nianyi said with a smile, then popped in a piece of mango.

Xi Yu turned and looked back at her. “Mm, I do.”

Under their exchanged gaze, Yu Nianyi’s eyes landed for some reason on the faint dark circles beneath Xi Yu’s eyes. The color wasn’t heavy, but Xi Yu’s skin was so fair that it showed more clearly.

Yu Nianyi’s heart softened instantly. She climbed down and stood beside Xi Yu. “I’ll help too; cooking together is more fun.”

Xi Yu glanced at her but didn’t refuse. She only said, “Okay. The noodles can be drained now.”

Yu Nianyi nodded and very skillfully portioned the noodles into two bowls.

“Wow, it smells so good.” Yu Nianyi sighed in admiration.

Xi Yu cooked faster than expected; there were two meat dishes and two vegetable dishes, the portions just right.

By the time Yu Nianyi finished serving the noodles, Xi Yu was setting the last dish on the table.

Yu Nianyi swept her eyes over everything and launched into her praise with a bright smile. “How is Xi Yu-jie this amazing? You even cook so naturally. It smells wonderful; you’re basically as good as my mom.”

Xi Yu casually took off the apron and set it aside. Hearing Yu Nianyi’s sugary praise, her brow relaxed; she looked genuinely pleased. “Compared with Auntie, I still have room to improve.”

Yu Nianyi stuffed a chopstickful of food into her mouth, chewed a couple of times, and swallowed quickly, then said impatiently, “How could that be? Sister is super amazing; it’s really, really delicious!”

Xi Yu smiled and naturally sat down next to Yu Nianyi. Seeing that Yu Nianyi always liked the ribs, she picked up a few and put them into her bowl.

Yu Nianyi giggled and thanked her sister.

Xi Yu ate very little; two of her meals were about the same as one meal for Yu Nianyi. During the whole meal, Xi Yu spent most of her time serving Yu Nianyi food and pouring her water, while she herself barely ate. When asked, she only said she was already full.

Yu Nianyi was also puzzled. After eating with Xi Yu so many times, she had indeed found that Xi Yu not only ate slowly, but also ate very little. She chewed carefully and slowly; still, every time Yu Nianyi finished, she could somehow always time it just right so they would finish together.

By the end of the meal, Yu Nianyi said she wanted to clear the dishes, only to be flatly refused by Xi Yu, who insisted she go back and rest.

Yu Nianyi vaguely understood Xi Yu’s concern, so she obediently took herself to the sofa, turned on the TV at random, and immediately spotted a vase of vivid red roses on the coffee table.

They must have been put there last night while Yu Nianyi was showering. The roses were still blooming beautifully, their bright crimson color bringing a strange sense of life and allure to the slightly dull, plain living room.

Yu Nianyi sank into the sofa and looked at the red roses in front of her with curved eyes, studying them inch by inch.

Xi Yu cleaned up quickly. When she came over, she placed a cup of warm orange juice in front of Yu Nianyi, then sat down beside her.

“This is so magical,” Yu Nianyi said with a smile.

Xi Yu gave a soft hum, turned her head to glance at her, and casually picked up the remote to lower the background music on the TV. On-screen, a hot currently airing modern romance drama was playing, and the male and female leads were talking.

“It just feels like having roses in the living room makes it so beautiful, and they smell so nice. Knowing they were given by you makes me even happier.” Yu Nianyi smiled proudly, then leaned all the way back against the sofa. But her movement was too big; she let out a sharp little breath and clutched her waist, wincing for a long time.

Seeing her like that, Xi Yu reached a hand into the gap beside the sofa, her palm landing precisely on the hollow of Yu Nianyi’s waist as she pressed it gently.

“I wasn’t like this before,” Yu Nianyi said again.

Xi Yu’s gaze had never left her; her hand kept moving. “Next time, you can put a soft pillow under your waist. That would be more comfortable.”

Yu Nianyi looked up when she heard that and stared straight into Xi Yu’s eyes. After meeting her gaze for a few seconds, she finally vaguely understood what she meant.

The image of her unconsciously moving like that last night surfaced in her mind once more. She paused, her ears turning red. “Next time it should be my turn, and I’m not always like this anyway. Putting down a pillow feels so strange…”

Xi Yu watched her protesting expression for a moment, her eyes deep and fixed on her. Then she spoke as if casually, “Your body will feel more comfortable that way. When you reach climax, the body has corresponding reactions; arching your waist is a very normal response.”

Yu Nianyi froze. Before she could react, Xi Yu’s words had already drifted fully into her ears, impossible to shake off.

She let out a soft wow and turned to look at Xi Yu.

Xi Yu sat motionless, her long hair hanging loosely, a teasing intent burning in her black-and-white eyes.

As if knowing what Yu Nianyi was about to ask, Xi Yu said with a smile, “Nian Nian, you already told me very clearly last night.”

Yu Nianyi’s face turned bright red at once. She shifted a little as if to cover it up, only to be pulled back into place by Xi Yu’s hand.

Xi Yu simply adjusted her arm and drew Yu Nianyi into her own space, guiding her to sit in her lap.

Yu Nianyi could clearly feel the faint warmth of Xi Yu’s breath against the back of her ear, along with her deliberately lowered laughter. Her long hair spilled casually across Yu Nianyi’s chest, the strands brushing and tickling her neck.

“This is more convenient,” Xi Yu said.
