Forced Kiss
Qian Cancan ventured, “Li... cough, sis?”
Li Lan gave a soft “Mm.” Her gaze skimmed over the hostess’s heavy makeup and indecently revealing outfit before settling on the hands gripping Zhu Qing.
The hostesses all shuddered at once. A chill seemed to creep up their spines.
Qian Cancan seized the opening and yanked hard on Zhu Qing, pulling her free of the flock of coy, smiling girls.
But Zhu Qing didn’t appreciate the rescue at all. She glared furiously at the person who had tricked her into buying the wine. “Either give me the wine back, or drink it all yourself.”
“What are you making her suffer for?” Qian Cancan frantically signaled Zhu Qing with her eyes. “Your wife’s here, so stop talking already.”
Li Lan walked straight over, and the crowd automatically parted to make way for her.
Qian Cancan shouted, “Aren’t you leaving yet?”
The hostesses looked as if they’d been granted amnesty. No longer willing to linger, they hurried out of the room.
“Li Lan sis,” Qian Cancan knew Zhu Qing didn’t look very presentable and said tactfully, “she just couldn’t hold back for a moment and drank a little too much. I can vouch that there really wasn’t anything else...”
Li Lan raised one hand, palm out, and gave a slight push forward; it was a clear refusal.
Qian Cancan’s words cut off abruptly.
Then that hand came to rest on Zhu Qing’s shoulder. Li Lan hooked one arm under Zhu Qing and drew her against herself.
Feeling herself lifted, Zhu Qing flailed both hands restlessly, then turned in Li Lan’s arms and frowned up at her in a half-surrendering posture. “Who are you?”
Li Lan took off her sunglasses and pulled down her mask. She said nothing, only pressed the back of her hand to Zhu Qing’s face and forehead to make sure she didn’t have a fever.
Zhu Qing didn’t resist while being fussed over. She forced her eyes open; the confusion in them slowly cleared, then suddenly widened.
“Li Lan?”
“Go home.”
The two voices rang out at the same time. Zhu Qing pressed her lips together, her eyes as round as marbles. Her brain raced until it almost smoked, but she still couldn’t figure out why Li Lan would be here.
Li Lan didn’t give her time to react. Once she saw that Zhu Qing recognized her, she lowered her eyes and nodded, then put her mask back on and led her out.
Qian Cancan worried about her friend and followed at Zhu Qing’s heels, shifting left to glance at Zhu Qing, then edging right to steal a look at Li Lan’s expression.
Unfortunately, Li Lan’s whole face was covered, and Qian Cancan couldn’t tell whether she was angry or not for quite a while.
They came out through the back door to find a car with its headlights on waiting around the corner.
Qian Chu got out and walked over to help. “Should I hold her up?”
Li Lan ignored her and turned to Qian Cancan. “It’s getting late. Could you please take Qian Chu home for me?”
Qian Chu, who had insisted on following them, been forbidden from going in, and was now being kicked out of the car: ...
The worry between Qian Cancan’s brows vanished in an instant. She smiled. “How could that be a bother? Of course it’s no problem.”
After saying that, she didn’t even look at Zhu Qing. She turned and made an inviting gesture toward Qian Chu. “My car is over there.”
Seeing once again that Li Lan had no intention of letting her get in the car, Qian Chu could only follow Qian Cancan away.
Qian Cancan kept her smile perfectly in place the entire time. She opened the passenger door and motioned for Qian Chu to get in, asking with considerate concern, “Do you need the air conditioning on?”
Qian Chu was silent for two seconds. “Are you planning to drunk-drive?”
Qian Cancan, whose head was full of other thoughts, finally came back to herself. Her smile instantly stiffened.
Qian Chu looked speechless and strode to the driver’s seat. “Keys.”
Qian Cancan sat down in the passenger seat a little embarrassed and pulled her seatbelt across herself. “No keys needed; it’s already ready to drive.”
Qian Chu had never driven a six-figure sports car before. It took her quite a while to figure out the controls, and her expression grew more and more displeased.
After the car started, Qian Cancan turned her head to look at Qian Chu. “How did you know I was here with Zhu Qing?”
She hadn’t drunk much, mainly just kept Zhu Qing company. The tipsiness had mostly faded after seeing Li Lan, and after seeing Qian Chu she was even more awake. By now she was back to normal. With a little thought, she understood the cause and effect.
Qian Chu drummed her middle finger against the steering wheel, her brows furrowed. “The video you posted on Moments.”
Qian Cancan suddenly understood. She showed not the slightest trace of guilt at having sold out her friend; that strange smile climbed back onto her lips.
Hearing that, Qian Chu’s mouth curved down. She couldn’t help asking, “Why do you post eight Moments a day?”
All her contacts were people from the industry, and everyone else treated Moments as a practical tool for building an image, maintaining connections, and getting first-hand information. She really couldn’t understand how anyone could treat it like a daily account book and post eight entries in one day.
Did Qian Cancan have some obsession with making people think she was a rich, silly, airheaded princess?
Qian Cancan didn’t catch the implication at all and said openly, “If there’s something fun or funny, I just post it so everyone can enjoy it too.”
Then she blinked and said softly, “Oh? So you’ve been following my Moments all along?”
Qian Chu forced a fake smile. “Yes. After all, my boss cares a lot about Miss Zhu, and Miss Zhu shows up very frequently in your Moments.”
Something occurred to Qian Cancan, and she exclaimed in shock, “So today—no, yesterday at noon, when we went out to eat and ran into you, that wasn’t a coincidence either!?”
Qian Chu laughed. “Heh.”
Qian Cancan said in mock regret, “Sigh, I’ll have to be more careful with my words from now on.”
As she spoke, Qian Cancan pulled out her phone and secretly took a photo of Qian Chu’s side profile, then sent it after blocking Qian Chu.

Li Lan kept the car speed steadily right at the edge of the legal limit and drove home at full speed.
Zhu Qing lay in the back seat, pinned under three seatbelts, turning restlessly from side to side.
“Are you Li Lan?”
“Why did you come to pick me up?”
“I haven’t gone to collect my graduation certificate yet.”
“Someone said I’m a kindergarten teacher; are you going to send me to a kindergarten? But I don’t like children.”
“Do you have a wife? I do.”
“Do you know my wife?”
At first Li Lan was irritated by everything she heard, but by the end she couldn’t help feeling a little soft.
Still angry, though.
So from the garage to the elevator to the front door, she didn’t spare any effort, holding Zhu Qing tightly around the waist and trapping her in her arms until Zhu Qing’s whole face went red from lack of oxygen.
“Why are you squeezing me so hard?” Zhu Qing was thrown onto the sofa and complained with red-rimmed eyes, “What did I do wrong this time?”
Li Lan shed all of her outer disguise. Her hair was a little messy, fluffing out on both sides of her cheeks, and against that backdrop her already exquisite features looked even more breathtaking.
Under the light, Zhu Qing felt as if she had run into a man-eating spirit.
Li Lan stared at her, so angry her lips were trembling.
“You said you wouldn’t drink outside anymore.” Li Lan’s voice was very low.
Zhu Qing hadn’t heard her clearly and only stared at Li Lan dumbly without speaking.
Li Lan closed her eyes, trying to calm herself down.
But the moment she thought of Zhu Qing entangled with those women, all the blood in her body rushed to the top of her head; she was so angry she couldn’t calm down no matter what.
She knew too well what Zhu Qing was like when drunk. Zhu Qing was different from everyone else. As long as she was dead drunk and couldn’t think properly, if you threw her onto the bed, she’d go along with anything you did. She wouldn’t refuse at all, and the next day she would remember nothing afterward!
“Don’t be angry,” Zhu Qing suddenly took Li Lan’s hand in a soft little grip. “An angry little spirit doesn’t look good.”
Li Lan could hold back no longer. She pinched Zhu Qing’s chin and lowered her head to kiss her.
Zhu Qing’s eyes flew wide open.
