A few seconds after the message was sent, before Jiang Chao could even blink, Sheng Huaixi’s reply came back.
-Yeah. Come to my office and report me.
She admitted it so brazenly, as if she were openly confessing to deliberately harassing her. Jiang Chao had wanted to make this woman understand that they were at work, with people everywhere; instead, she was telling her to come to the office and complain?

Li Sensen lowered her brows, pointed to the corner of Jiang Chao’s mouth, then mimicked Jiang Chao’s smile as she curved her own lips and emphasized, “You’re smiling pretty wildly; it’s like I’m the one seeing a beauty.”

Jiang Chao touched her cheek; the heat on her face was real enough to feel through her fingertips. Looking at Li Sensen nod, she had to admit that much.
Her phone buzzed again. Jiang Chao gave Li Sensen an apologetic smile and reached out to take it.
As expected, it was another message from Sheng Huaixi.
-You’re chatting with them and leaving me out in the cold. That’s too much.
Jiang Chao pressed her lips together; she wasn’t surprised at all by Sheng Huaixi’s complaint. It was just that how to reply was still something she needed to think through carefully.
“Chaochao.”
“Mm? What is it?”
That familiar way of addressing her sounded out. Jiang Chao didn’t turn around; she answered casually and lowered her head to type a message back to Sheng Huaixi.

“You’re slapping such a huge label on me; that’s another offense.”
A pair of hands Jiang Chao knew all too well gathered around her from behind and came to rest in front of her; a low laugh brushed against her ear.
When had Sheng Huaixi gotten here?!
Jiang Chao jerked around, her forehead crashing into something soft. She didn’t have time to think any further and hurriedly raised a hand to cover the spot.
“I didn’t do it on purpose!”
Li Sensen sat off to the side, watching helplessly as Jiang Chao headfirst collided into Sheng Huaixi’s embrace, dumbfounded.
